Description

HOT-ROLLED UNEQUAL ANGLES (Asymmetric L-Profiles)

Hot-rolled unequal steel angles (commonly referred to as asymmetric L-profiles) are specialized structural components engineered for high-performance fabrication. Featuring two legs of unequal lengths meeting at a 90° angle, they provide targeted structural reinforcement and optimized load distribution in designs where stress requirements differ between the horizontal and vertical axes.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Targeted Structural Strength: The asymmetric geometry allows for maximum bending resistance along the primary axis, while minimizing material weight along the secondary axis.

  • Design Flexibility: They offer the ideal solution for custom architectural and mechanical engineering applications where space constraints or layouts require asymmetric support.

  • Excellent Fabricability: They exhibit superb weldability, easy cutting, and drilling, ensuring efficient and secure assembly during installation.

Common Applications

  • Structural steel trusses, bracing systems, and frame cross-bracing in metal buildings

  • Industrial platforms, heavy-duty shelving, stair stringers, and brackets

  • Chassis and framework in automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, and heavy machinery

  • Edge reinforcements and perimeter lintels in composite steel-and-concrete installations

Technical Specifications

  • Steel Grade: S235JR according to EN 10025 (RSt 37.2 according to DIN 17100)

  • Length: 6 m

Note: Requirements for alternative dimensions and lengths can be accommodated upon agreement.
